To the next stage! A01 Philosophy Group @ The University of Tokyo

Ultra-High Refinement Psychiatric Care 2.0 plans to explore and examine the concerns and challenges that artificial intelligence-based psychotherapy and psychiatry may entail.

This week, we discussed with Dr. Eisuke Sakakibara, a lecturer at the Department of Psychiatry and Neurology, University of Tokyo Hospital, whether generative AI can be an informant or a testimony, while it has been conventionally believed that only humans can be informants or testimonies in philosophical epistemology. However, we discussed whether a generative AI can be an informant and whether it can perform testimony.
