To the next stage

Application for Grant-in-Aid for Transformative Research Areas (A) rejected. But we remain determined and hopeful!

Unfortunately, our application for this year’s Grant-in-Aid for Transformative Research Areas (A) “Ultra-high-definition mental healthcare 2.0” did not advance to the hearing stage. We are disheartened to bring this disappointing news to all those who have supported and collaborated with us up to this point.

However, there is a silver lining. This year, we were fortunate to convene leading experts across various fields including philosophy, ethics, psychology, computational psychiatry, interdisciplinary mental health, multimedia & multimodal technologies, computer vision, large-scale language models, and implementation science, culminating in deeply rich and fruitful discussions. These discussions have indeed been a significant gain, sowing seeds for our next steps.

We intend to use this knowledge, invaluable relationships, and experiences, to power up for our continued challenge in the next round. We continue to warmly invite researchers and individuals of various positions who are interested in our field to please continue sharing your voices and insights with us moving forward. We anticipate learning and growing further through our collective endeavors!

Today, we may resemble an acorn fallen onto asphalt, but we envision ourselves in the future, rolling toward nutritious soil, growing larger and larger, and creating an entirely new ecosystem.
